Overview

Review Intel pulls review data from the major B2B review platforms — G2, Capterra, and Glassdoor. Use it to understand how a prospect's customers feel about their product, to research competitors, or to identify pain points you can address in outreach. Product reviews on G2 and Capterra reveal what users love and hate about a tool. Glassdoor reviews reveal internal culture, compensation trends, and organizational pain points that inform your outreach angle and help you understand the buying environment inside a target account.

Currently macOS only. Windows and Linux support coming soon.

Use Cases

Personalize Outreach with Customer Pain Points

Before sending a cold email to a prospect who uses a competitor's product, you pull their competitor's G2 reviews. The reviews consistently mention slow customer support and a clunky reporting interface as the top complaints. You reference these pain points in your outreach, positioning your product's live chat support and real-time dashboards as the solution.

Expected outcome: A list of recurring complaints from verified users — typically 3 to 5 themes — that your rep can weave into a personalized outreach email that speaks to actual pain the prospect is likely experiencing.

Build a Competitive Battle Card

Your product marketing team needs to update the competitive battle card for a key rival. You pull their G2 and Capterra reviews to understand the latest user sentiment. The data shows their overall rating dropped from 4.3 to 3.9 in the last quarter, with recent reviews citing a poorly received UI redesign.

Expected outcome: Quantified sentiment data (ratings, trends, review volumes) and specific user complaints organized by theme — ready to feed into a competitive battle card that reps can reference during sales calls.

Assess Company Culture Before Targeting an Account

You are evaluating whether a company is worth pursuing as a large enterprise deal. You pull their Glassdoor reviews to understand their internal culture. Reviews reveal high employee turnover in sales, frustration with outdated tools, and a recent leadership change in the revenue organization — all signals that they may be open to new solutions.

Expected outcome: A Glassdoor sentiment summary covering culture ratings, management reviews, and pros/cons trends — giving your team insight into the internal buying environment and potential champions or blockers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What review platforms does Review Intel support?
Review Intel currently supports three platforms: G2 (B2B software reviews), Capterra (software comparison reviews), and Glassdoor (employee reviews and company ratings). Each platform provides different perspectives — G2 and Capterra focus on product reviews from users, while Glassdoor provides employee sentiment about culture and management.
How many reviews are returned per request?
Review Intel returns the most recent and relevant reviews available on the platform. Typically this is 10 to 25 reviews per request, depending on the company's review volume. It also returns aggregate metrics (overall rating, total review count) that summarize the full body of reviews.
Can Review Intel detect fake or incentivized reviews?
Review Intel returns the raw review data as published on each platform. It does not attempt to identify fake or incentivized reviews. G2 and Capterra have their own verification processes. For Glassdoor, reviews are submitted by employees with some verification. We recommend looking at review volume and consistency of themes rather than individual reviews.
Can I compare reviews for two competitors side by side?
You can pull reviews for each competitor separately and then compare the results. While there is no built-in comparison feature, the structured JSON output makes it straightforward to build a comparison — either in a spreadsheet or by having Claude analyze both sets of reviews.
Are Glassdoor reviews useful for B2B sales?
Absolutely. Glassdoor reviews reveal internal dynamics that inform your sales strategy. High turnover in sales or engineering suggests the company may be open to tools that improve retention or productivity. Complaints about outdated tools signal potential buying intent. Leadership changes in revenue roles often trigger vendor evaluations.
